Rob Killheffer and I are going to host a celebration of Lucius Shepard and his work Sunday evening 7-9 pm June 15, 2014 at KGB Bar, 85 East 4th Street (just off 2nd Ave), New York, NY.
Lucius read there a number of times over the years and I think it’s the perfect venue in NYC to celebrate his life with readings from his work and remembrances by his friends.
Everyone is welcome. Entrance to the bar is free, just buy a drink or two in honor of Lucius.
More info tk.

Have you ever read the untitled piece he did for the Ziesing’s for their 106th catalog? It’s an unusual piece told from Lucius’s perspective as he stages a raid on the Ziesing’s domicile in Shingleton.

I probably did when it came out but don’t remember.
Joe Monti says
Oh, wonderful.
I remember inviting him to read at one of my NYRSF Readings, after I revived it and moved it out of Dixon Place to downtown TriBeca. So likely in 2000. I imagine you were there and came to dinner with the group at that BBQ joint that was down the block from the theater I was using. I particularly recall he and Tony Daniel getting on….
So many good short stories, although THE GOLDEN will always be my favorite work of his.
I hope to see you and Rob and everyone there. Thanks for setting it up.

I think Tony might have been a student of his at Clarion–they knew each other for a long time.
